​Rick Price is a skilled artisan, who has spent his life exploring, and reacting to, his audio-visual world.
As a child he explored the experiential and creative worlds of sand-pits and plasticine, (and fire), and has continued to embrace those experiences; reflecting upon the sentimental memories of childhood, modern iconography and urban culture. (Ms. Katherine Griffiths).
"While my Music and the Visual Arts initially battled for attention, they united as vehicles for expression after experiencing the visual impact of the Balinese altar-pieces, enveloped by the ambient street sounds and the striking
aesthetic qualities of the Balinese Gamelan Orchestras. My work now responds to an 'Urban Domain'. An audio-visual response to Urban Iconography.

Completing a BA in Ceramic Design, with an emphasis on both Industrial & Fine Art processes, and having composed & performed as a musician from the age of 18, I am now exploring a unique approach to developing Artwork and Design, in response to an experiential, audio-visual world.
Both traditional and contemporary processes & technologies are utilised in response to my thematic explorations, installations and design processes.
